The EYOF

Thanks to an initiative of Dr. Jacques Rogge, in 1990 the European Olympic Committees launched the "European Youth Olympic Days" (EYOD), now called “European Youth Olympic Festival” (EYOF), that is the only multi-sport event on this Continent. This event, which has a summer and a winter edition, is held every other year.

The Games of the Small States of Europe

Further to a proposal made by the NOC of Malta, in 1985 the EOC launched the “Games of the Small States of Europe”(GSSE), the first edition of which was organised in San Marino. Since then, this multi-sport event, for the athletes from the 9 countries of our continent with less than one million inhabitants, has taken place regularly every two years, with ever growing success.
