BELARUS – NOC HONORARY MEMBER KHROMENKOV AWARDED CERTIFICATE OF HONOR

On occasion of his 70th birthday, Leonid Yakovlevich Khromenkov, Honoured Coach and Master of Sports of the Republic of Belarus, as well as Honorary Member of the National Olympic Committee of Belarus, was awarded two medals by the National Olympic Committee for his significant contribution to the development of the Olympic movement, sports for all and elite sport achievements in the Republic of Belarus.
The first medal was awarded to him by the NOC “for outstanding services” and “for merits in the development of the Olympic movement in the Republic of Belarus”; the second medal, presented by the State Committee of Sport and the Ministry of Sport and Tourism of the Republic of Belarus, was given to him “for the development of physical culture and sports”.
Khromenkov, a life spent in the world of sport and public administration, worked at the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Belarus as the marketing director from 1996 to 2015.
In 2015 he was appointed first deputy chairman of the NGO “Veterans of Physical Culture and Sports”.
