ISRAELI NOC CROWNS BEST ATHLETE AND COACH

Tel Aviv, 5th February – at an impressive ceremony this week, held in the presence of NOC President Zvi Varshaviak, and a number of public and sports authorities and athletes, the National Olympic Committee of Israel crowned the 2012 outstanding Athlete and Coach of the Year.
The award, named after the late President of the Israeli NOC Yoram Oberkovich (elected in 1991), was given to Israeli swimmer Yaakov Toumarkin, who finished seventh in the 200 meter backstroke finals at the 2012 Olympic Games in London, one of the most outstanding achievements ever for an Israeli swimmer. In 2012 he also won 2 Bronze Medals, in the 100m and 200m backstroke, at the European Championships.
Ms. Ella Samofalov, the Rhythmic Gymnastics coach, was chosen as the "2012 Coach of the Year" for leading the Israeli Olympic rhythmic gymnastics team to 8th place and Neta Rivkin to 7th at the finals of the Olympic Games in London, and other impressive achievements all the way to London.
Noam Gershony, an Israeli wheelchair tennis player who won a gold medal at the 2012 Summer Paralympics received a special award for his outstanding achievement and special conduct.

Budapest, 1st February – on the 28th of January 2013 the Hungarian Olympic Committee (HOC) moved to new Headquarters, the address of which is:

So as to ensure no mail is lost a Post Box for the old address (Istvánmezei út 1-3., H-1146 Budapest) will continue to be available until 30th June 2013.
