EOC EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE TO TAKE PART IN ICELANDIC SPORTS CENTENARY

fotoReykjavik, 27th January – the members of the EOC executive committee are on their way to the Icelandic capital for their first meeting of the year, where they have also been invited to the celebrations for the centenary of Icelandic sport.

Despite tough weather conditions that are complicating arrivals, president Patrick Hickey and all the members count on being at the celebrations scheduled for next Saturday 28th, which marks a hundred days from 28 January 1912 to the day.

NOC president Olafur Rafnsson and secretary general Liney Rut Halldorsdottir have made it a point of honour to welcome their European colleagues this January on their, even for Iceland, especially windswept and snow driven isle.

The EOC executive committee's first meeting of the year will focus on planning the year's activities, including the spring seminar and the ANOC meetings in Moscow in April.
