EOC PRESIDENT JOINS INAUGURATION OF NEW ACADEMIC YEAR OF POLISH UNIVERSITY

EOC President Janez Kocijančič attended the inauguration of the new academic year of Physical Education University in Wroclaw, Poland on 27 September.

Following the message from the Rector, the EOC President addressed the students and wished them all the best of success for the year to come.

A highlight of the ceremony was the awarding of Andrzej Krasnicki, President of the Polish Olympic Committee (POC) and EOC ExCo Member, with the Honoris Causa title.

“It is a great privilege and honour for me, enhancing even more my personal dedication to the beloved sport and the Olympic movement,” Krasnicki said.

For its part, Kocijančič warmly congratulated him: “Sport is a phenomenon of modern society and, as such, it needs a modern organisation. Our society needs coaches, supporters, experts and, above all, leaders. Sport needs passionate people who devote all their energies and life to it, and my dear friend Andrzej is a true example. Congratulations!”

The ceremony also featured the new students’ enrolment and the handing over of the master’s and post doctorate’s diplomas.
