TURKEY – UGUR ERDENER UNANIMOUSLY RE-ELECTED AT THE HEAD OF WORLD ARCHERY

Prof Dr Ugur Erdener was unanimously re-elected unopposed as World Archery President for a fourth four-year mandate at the federation’s 2017 Congress in Mexico City, held alongside the World Archery Championships in the Mexican capital’s Campo Marte from 15 to 22 October.
“Thank you for your ongoing support,” said Prof Dr Erdener as he addressed delegates, adding: “It is a pleasure and an honour to continue as President of World Archery, one of the most forward-thinking, proactive and unified families in the world of international sport.”
Erdener is also the president of the Turkish Olympic Committee, one of the most active National Olympic Committees in Europe, he is an IOC Member, and has been an IOC Vice President since 2016.
