8 July 2019

2019 will go down in the history as one of the busiest sport year for our European athletes.

After a successful 2nd European Games Minsk 2019, another milestone on the calendar is the Summer University Games Naples 2019.

The 30th edition of the Summer Universiade kicked off at San Paolo Stadium in Naples on 3 July, gathering over 6,000 student-athletes from across the globe. Europe is represented by 47 countries out of the 115 total participating countries. Italy has the biggest delegation with 301 athletes.

At a mid-way point, Europe is doing very well, as 22 out of all the 32 medalling countries are from our continent.

18 are the sports on the programme: Archery, Athletics, Basketball, Diving, Fencing, Football, Artistic Gymnastic, Rhythmic Gymnastic, Judo, Rugby Sevens, Sailing, Shooting, Swimming, Table Tennis, Taekwondo, Tennis, Volleyball, Waterpolo.

Stay tuned to see which surprises the best European athletes will reserve for us in the next days, before the curtain will fall on Naples 2019 on 14 July.
