WINTER OLYMPIC GAMES KICKS OFF IN PYEONGCHANG – GOOD LUCK TO ALL ATHLETES
9 February 2018
Here we go. After 6 months of efforts and joint work from all the stakeholders, the host country, the NOCs, the Federations and media, the curtain rose above the 23rd Winter Olympic Games in PyeongChang.
Although some competitions had already taken place before the Opening Ceremony, the Games, named “Games of Peace” by South Korea, officially began this Friday under the eyes of 35,000 spectators on the spot and millions from all around the world.
So far, it was a lively ceremony, an apparently “anarchic” team parade, due to the Korean alphabet. Among others, the unified delegation of the two Koreas, the Russian athletes as well as the two women of the Unified Korea team, hand in hand, participating in the lighting of the Olympic stadium.
Let’s get it started, enjoy the games!
