It is with great sadness that the EOC learns of the loss of François Garcia Garcia, an outstanding sports personality in Andorra and a key figure in the development of sport in the country.

Garcia passed away at the age of 79 due to the Covid-19.

A valuable teacher, he will be always remembered for his long-lasting commitment to the spreading of educational values through sport.

He was also the President of the National Federation of Tennis (2005-2013) and of the National Olympic Academy (2008-2020).

In everything he did, his great passion for sport always shone through.

The EOC expresses its deepest sympathy and solidarity to the NOC of Andorra.
