EOC PIOTR NUROWSKI AWARD – THE 5 FINALISTS REVEALED

The 5 finalists of the 3rd Priotr Nurowski were announced. After EOC having collected and circulated candidatures, the European NOCs have put forward their choice for the short list of the five fantastic young athletes who have the potential to become Olympians.
Girls are favoured with four names: Camille Bened (FRA) Biathlon, Annika Hocke (GER) Figure skating, Karolina Bosiek (POL) Speed skating, Jennie Lee Burmansson (SWE) Freestyle skiing. Only one boy is on the selection: Peter Murphy (LUX) Short Track.
Who will be the winner? His/her name will be disclosed next Friday 11 May at the EOC Seminar Gala dinner. On this date, the 39th EOC Seminar will start in Belgrade, and this year it will enjoy the joint collaboration of IOC, mainly focusing on the NOCs’ Games preparation. The work in progress of Tokyo 2020, the new ‘norm’, the evolution of the 2nd European Games from Baku through Minsk to 2023, the updates regarding the European Youth Olympic Festival and the Games of the Small States of Europe, as well as the presentation of the new marketing and communication agencies will be the major issues on the table of the meetings in Belgrade.
