IRELAND – OCI EMPOWERING WOMEN CONFERENCE IN DUBLIN

The olympic Council of Ireland organised on 23/24October a two day conference “Empowering Women” in Croke Park, Dublin. The event was attended by many participants within the various National sports federations in Ireland as well as delegates from Sport Ireland, and the Irish Institute of Sport.
The Irish Olympic Association President, Sarah Keane and Executive Board Member, Georgina Drumm both addressed the conference.
Gabriela Muller, International Executive and Organisational Communications Coach/Trainer/Speaker ran the conference with a wide variety of women participating from across the various sports in Ireland.
OCI Executive Board Member Georgina Drumm, and President of Athletics Ireland reported on the recent Women in Sport Forum she attended in Vilnius, Lithuania, which was jointly organised by the IOC and the local NOC.
The conference covered key topics such as leadership styles, current situations of role/participation of women, building self-awareness as leader, self confidence skills.
