TWO NEW ATHLETES ELECTED TO THE IOC COMMISSION
Vancouver – Adam Pengilly (GBR), the world
bob skeleton silver medallist and Angela
Ruggiero (USA) the ice hockey gold medallist,
have been elected by their peers to eight-
year terms on the IOC Athletes Commission.
Adam becomes the fourth Briton to join the
International Olympic Committee, while with
Angela, the United States adds a third at the
conclusion of nearly three weeks of voting
for the IOC Athletes Commission at the
Vancouver Olympics.
The two new members will have full voting
rights and will be introduced at the Closing
Ceremony of the Vancouver 2010 Olympic
Winter Games on Feb. 28.
