Categories: EG

The European Games Krakow-Malopolska 2023 Organising Committee has invited university students enrolled at arts institutions to submit designs for a new Games poster competition.

The challenge for budding artists is to create a poster which will become a recognisable symbol of the Kraków-Małopolska 2023 Games. The call for submissions on the Kraków-Małopolska 2023 website stated, “the designed poster should reflect the spirit of the Games – contain one or more sports disciplines played during the European Games and refer to the culture of the Małopolska region.

“The poster should also include the logo of the Games and the inscription ‘European Games Kraków-Małopolska 2023′.

“We count on the great creativity of all participants!”

Fantastic prizes are up for grabs, with the winner of the competition set to receive PLN3,000 (£565/$690/€640), two free tickets to the Games’ Opening Ceremony and sets of gadgets.

Entries can be sent in paper or electronic form with one strict requirement, you must be a student from a university with an ‘artistic profile’.

The deadline for entries is Friday 27 January at 12:00 and the results will be announced by Monday 6 February.

Kraków-Małopolska 2023 is the third edition of the European Games, following on from Baku in 2015 and Minsk in 2019.

The European Games takes place on 21 June – 2 July 2023, where the continent’s elite level athletes will compete in 25 sports.
