EOC ExCom member Hrbeková to Chair Youth Olympic Games Working Group as part of IOC’s Fit for the Future

EOC Executive Committee (ExCom) member and Chair of the EOC Communication Commission Danka Hrbeková has been appointed as Chair of the IOC’s Youth Olympic Games Working Group.

The Youth Olympic Games Working Group was established earlier this month as part of the IOC’s Fit for the Future process under President Kirsty Coventry, together with the Olympic Programme Working Group, the Protection of the Female Category Working Group and the Commercial Partnerships and Marketing Working Group.

The Fit for the Future process will strengthen the Olympic Movement globally and will feature consultations with all stakeholders on important topics.

The Youth Olympic Games Working Group chaired by Ms Hrbeková will look at the potential and relevance of the Youth Olympic Games and will take over the process for selecting the host of the 2030 edition of the Youth Olympic Games.

Emma Terho, EOC ExCom member and Chair of the EOC Esports Commission, has also been appointed as a member of the IOC Commercial Partnerships and Marketing Working Group, which will look at the IOC’s existing programmes, platforms and systems, how it engages with partners, and how it can evolve and ensure that it is fit for today’s competitive market.

The EOC welcomes the Fit for the Future process under President Coventry’s leadership and looks forward to contributing to the strengthening of the Olympic Movement.
