As is now tradition, the EOC Executive Committee held its first meeting of the year in Lausanne, at the IOC Head Quarters on the shores of the Leman lake last February 20. President Patrick Hickey and all the members were pleased to be able to welcome Jacques Rogge, who was accompanied by IOC Director General Urs Lacotte, and who came to greet the representatives of the family sport that had long been his own. He took advantage of the opportunity to talk about the Beijing Games and the situation in Chine, stressing the conduct rules both athletes and officials needed to respect in that occasion in accordance with the Olympic Charter. After a group-photo with the President of the IOC, the members dealt with the numerous items on the agenda. Next meeting of the EC will be on the eve of the EOC Seminar, scheduled in Sorrento (Italy) on 22/24 May.
