PORTUGAL UEFA 2016 CHAMPION

The UEFA Football championship came to an end on Sunday. 24 teams, 51 games, 108 goals scored and only one winner – Portugal against France at the Stade de France in St. Denis, Paris, 1-0, with a goal by Eder in extra time.

The first title in the history of Portuguese senior football at a major tournament, ending the bitterness that still persisted in all the Portuguese from 12 years ago, when Portugal lost the final of the European Championships in Lisbon in 2004.

The 15th edition of the biggest football event in the continent was hosted by France with 10 different cities between 10 June and 10 July.
Only one winner – but all European teams deserve congratulations.
